Ellington & syncAccess Integration

syncAccess and Ellington Integration FAQ’s Answered

As we continue to develop our suite of products, it is important to our team that they work with one another, so for the last several months, we’ve been perfecting our syncAccess and Ellington integration. Today, we’re excited to share how it works.

In this post, you will find answers to frequently asked questions about the integration. Learn how they work together and the data they provide below.

What were the goals for integrating the two platforms?

We had three, primary goals in integrating syncAccess and Ellington. We wanted to:

• Provide a server to server solution that would make the pay meter more robust and harder to work around.

• Allow publishers to design their own paywall within the CMS system by providing consistency of the user interface.

• Offer SSO, so one login can grant a user access to everything he or she needs.

How does the integration work?

A server to server interface was created by the Syncronex Ellington team. It was designed to provide a secure connection without JavaScript. With it, publishers can manage both systems for their respective functions in the admin consoles.

In terms of the user experience, they will see the paywall and then be asked to subscribe, seamlessly moving between the two applications without knowing it.

What kinds of data does it provide to clients?

It shows the number of new subscribers and the plans they purchased.

What are the benefits of having both?

When used in tandem, syncAccess and Ellington provide an undefeatable pay meter that offers free access to few users, enticing them to subscribe. A single sign on (SSO) makes the interaction with a publishers’ systems user-friendly.

What is the process for current clients on just one platform to add the other?

Start by reaching out to your support team with the request. Then, the team will schedule a kickoff call to go through details, as well as the project plan.
